Calls 2014

The third call of the Chile Fund Against Hunger and Poverty opened in November 2014.

The projects presented (27) covered not only Latin America but also Africa; those selected (8) included civil society organisations which already have experience of previous calls, such as Techo-Chile and América Solidaria.

Both the Executive Secretariat and the Technical Secretariat of the Fund evaluated the 27 proposals received, which were then submitted for the evaluation of the Steering Committee. The combined total value of the projects finally approved was 640,467 USD. The projects in this and earlier calls were labelled according to a new system:

New: projects in the latest assignment (3rd call).

In execution: projects from the last call which are still running.

Completed: projects from earlier calls, all the application phases of which have been completed.

Calls 2013

After the success of the first call and in order to maintain the regularity of the competing fund, the second call of the Chile Fund Against Hunger and Poverty opened in June 2013.

A total of 31 project profiles were presented: 18 by Chilean Government institutions and United Nations bodies present in Chile and 13 for implementation by Chilean civil society organisations.

More projects were presented for the second work track than at the previous call.

Following the same method as the 2012 call, the Fund’s Executive Secretariat and Technical Secretariat evaluated the 31 proposals received; those for which the technical viability was guaranteed passed to a second stage of evaluation by the Steering Committee, if they were appropriate and complied with Chile’s foreign policy guidelines. Five projects were finally approved and the total sum assigned for execution was 938,394 USD. See the projects approved by the Chile Fund Against Hunger and Poverty in this second call.
